A little history, about history.
According to Archuleta County records, for several generations, the Davis family were the only residents of the 1.9 acre property that lies between 5th and 6th Streets, on Apache.
You could say the Davis family were pioneers. Think of the changes they must have seen. Logging, railroads being built, ranching, average snow levels where tunnels had to be formed to get into downtown stores, the developing of what is now Pagosa Lakes, hot springs growth, ski area development, mom and pop businesses flourishing and others failing, good times, not so good times. They were certainly witnesses to the early days in Pagosa history and surely helped shape the Pagosa of today.
Moving forward, when a small group of Pagosans purchased this property in 2007, they understood the rare heritage and history that came with a one-family property owner.
It is with reverence to the Davis family and a nod to history that we name this project with the Davis family in mind. The only address the Davis family ever knew was 510 Apache.
